After the great start at Phillip Island and a long break of more than a month, the Althea Racing team now prepares for the second round of the World Superbike championship in Spain, at the MotorLand Aragon circuit. Genesio Bevilacqua’s team, having taken part in a useful test session at Vallelunga during the break, has not stopped working on Canepa’s 1199 Panigale Evo bike, with rider Canepa having kept busy with training so as to be ready for the Aragon round.
Niccolò Canepa: “Finally this long break comes to an end and with the Aragon races the championship is really going to get going. After the Vallelunga tests, where we tried a few interesting things on my Panigale, I feel motivated and confident. This month I’ve really trained hard to improve resistance and lose weight, and I’ve also ridden a lot of motocross. I can’t wait for Friday, to get back on track and work with my team.”
